• Schools should remain open on a rota to allow students to socially distance. Why is no one arguing for this?

    Also the added level of complexity having to deliver on line teaching to those who are not in school whilst also teaching irl.

  • I think part of the rationale for schools being open is it allows parents to get on with their usual work life. A rota doesn't do that.

  • There was someone arguing for it on prime time BBC yesterday while they were filling time waiting for Boris to finish watching the rugby, pretty sure he was from one of the London councils. I was only half listening but he proposed a couple of options that are apparently already being implemented in Sixth forms
