I just upgraded from those Tektros to the TRPs Amey posted. They made a huge difference for me but the Tektro were
fairly old and secondhand and the TRP were brand new. If you struggle to get enough braking power with the Tektro I'd recommend the upgrade. -

Not what im looking for, 6 out of 10 on these looking to get a better one what brakes youd go for?
-
• #334
What Amey posted! The TRP RG957. They're pretty expensive but I got a good deal on an unused pair on eBay.

I hope I'm not telling you to suck eggs here, but, TRP stands for Tektro Racing Products, so same same but different.
also @AlphaOmega have you considered other solutions? Not horrendously inelegant:

I didn't know that! You learn something new every day on lufguss. As I said, the difference I noticed could well have been due to the fact that they were brand new rather than old and knackered. It seems like the TRP are the long drop calipers that get recommended most often though.

Thats looks interesting but for the mean time ill use this as they still do the job while im in the hunt for a proper set

Am I being daft or does this rear brake caliper have too long a bolt? Have they given me two front calipers?
Shimano R451.

That looks too long to me. Compare it to the other one - the only difference should be bolt length and pad orientation.
-

I'm embarrassed haha put the rear on the front didn't I?! As you were.
-

Yeah, TRP is the top parts side of Tektro. So Tektro r539 is the everyman version of the TRP957.
@AlphaOmega another option, and more spendy than TRP, is Velo Orange Grand Cru calipers, they're on my wish list, when funds permit. -

Appreciated so much boss thank you

I had the long drop Shimano r650 on my Kinesis T3. And found them very nice. But seem hard to come by these days.

Thank you, knew Shimano made one, couldn't remember the model number though.

I just really, really like this bike. Done a few longer rides recently and it's still been comfortable after 7+ hours in the saddle!

Team jumbo visma colors.
This build has been a total bitch though.
Finish Saturday hopefully.
I think it’s a good replacement for the borked cannondale.

I am running my Gorilla Monsoon with the Jones “PlanetX” bars... and I think I found the final set up! I prefer the look with the drops... but this is so much comfortable
