  • what's the cheapest 12 months of live gold available right now? want to do the 3-year-stack-upgrade-to-ultimate trick

  • Brazil I think...

  • Looks to be cdkeys 12 Months of Brazil Only at £29.99. I got it at £26 I think it was at electronic first in early October as that looked to be the first time it had dropped for a while and thought I’d bite the bullet there rather than risk it waiting for it to go down to £23 which I think is the lowest it generally goes

  • thanks. that was the cheapest I could find too - just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing a trick

  • With yesterday’s announcement of a second lockdown and the closing of none essential shops this week, think I’ll be heading to cex today to stock up on some games in preparation for the Series X arriving.

  • Oh well, like all video games I'll buy it for a couple of quid in a sale in a few years' time and play it for an hour or two before I get bored.

Having said that, I did invest in RDR2 during Lockdown 1.0, and now might actually finish it before Xmas.

    @Brun

  • Watchdogs is very meh. Glad I didn't pay for it.

  • It's definitely got the trademark Ubisoft experience of doing variations of the same thing over and over, coupled with thousands of relatively meaningless collectibles all over a massive map to make it seem like there is lots of content. Main Story is exactly 'meh' but there have been some fun 'puzzles' so far going through side quests.

I'm still enamoured with the virtual London though...

  • Get yourself game pass!!

  • Yeah sorted sorted that for three years too. Just have some games I’m wanting to catch up on that aren’t included in it.

  • Don't suppose anyone wants a steam link? I've got one in the house that I no longer need. Boxed.

  • Finally picked up a switch.
Got Zelda BoW with it, ill pick up mariocart soon as well for some lockdown multiplayer.
Any other crucial games that will likely be affordable 2nd hand with local multiplayer I should be looking at?

  • I really loved Mario Odyssey.

  • the new Pikmin 3 remake apparently has local co-op but I've not tried it.

  • Cheers, I'll keep an eye out for odyssey. And read a bit about pikmin. Never played it, but always enjoyed mario games.

  • RDR2

I played RDR after being that it follows on, and also the zombie one.

Might finally get Shenmu II done this time...

  • Picked up PS Now (Sony equiv of Game Pass? "netflix" for games) and noticed the old PS3 library has some gems too, Fallout New Vegas being the one I'm starting tonight.
£36 for the year (from CDKeys)

  • Overcooked for multiplayer for sure. Picked up Worms WMD, haven't actually played it yet, but Worms is always a good bet for local multiplayer.

  • Think there was some talk up-thread about it being a dreadful port performance-wise, so might be worth checking that first.

  • Think the Electronic First price is exchange rate dependent (I wouldn't be surprised if the other ones are too).

  • Never completed the zombie one. Is rdr on gamepass?

  • Awesome. Also don't forget that EA access is merging with game pass before long.

  • Just re-downloaded Battlefield 1 (wanted to play BF5 but EA Play hasn't joined XBox Game Pass yet). The campaign based multi-player is pretty amazing but holy crap, it's chaos.

  • Ah yeah that could make sense

  • Haha yeah made sure to check what is currently on EA Play to make sure I wasn’t buying anything that will likely be on Game Pass soon. Just picked up the Assassin’s Creed games from Black Flag to Syndicate and plan to speed through those then return them and get Origins and Odyssey after. Also got Far Cry 5 for cheap so will see how I get on with that, played 2 back in the day and didn’t think it was great but who knows
