I think part of the Rolex strategy is to never make retro watches, only ever move forward.

Well, speaking of green nonsense..

Done a bit of job on it, opening all the bracelet link, cleaning the thread and applying blue loctite to avoid issue

Bam thread killer. THE modern rolly to have.

But the current one looks almost exactly the same as almost every model since the 1950s, and what people think of when they think of a sub.

If you're a lifestyle blogger churning out clichéd content, you reference 007's watch with Mercedes hands.

@jv Usually wearing a 5 digit sub, as I prefer the slimmer case and aluminum bezel, but the dial on this one is really something..

Also, precision and perception of quality are really on point..

At the end, 5 digit and 6 digit reference are different watch, and I love both of them for what they are..

Would love to find a nice 16610LV once if I can afford it, or a blue Tudor sub..

Wait until you realise you cant afford the 'afforable' because its not available and your need can only be satisfied by a scalper.

Always prefer that over the rose gold bezel.
