You'll no doubt despair as due to budgetary constraints my first purchase was a black Thomson seatpost I scored for £45. They are an odd size 25mm. I'm not ponying up £125 for a campag record. It'll be a mix of old and new, I did get a minty black San Marco Rolls, so that's partially tasteful! This frame is rumoured to be EL it's very light whatever it is.

Oh furk... I might look down the back of the settee for the money I'd traditionally spend on sausage rolls...

Just wait if you can't afford nice kit now. Thomson would look terrible and it's not even that cheap. I'm pretty sure Kalloy do their Ritchey-style post in 25mm.

Kalloy bought. Twenty quid : ) Last one too. I can sell the Thomson all day as I picked it up for half price. I suppose it would have killed the classic lines. I got swept away on brand...

I may have done a very bad thing.
I have some bad news for my Guadrini regarding the current groupset and wheels it's sporting... This is mainly due to a lack of room and me being Skinty McSkintface. I wanted one of these for yonks, and the seller let me have gobs of cash off it so had to say yes. It's actually an orange sparkle. I dumped it on the plastic, then Tesco sent me an email about how they've changed terms on my credit card and I haven't had the courage to look...
