You’re right, it is still in production since the first one, even thought the original look nothing like the current one.

You could argue that the current submariner is more a dress watch than a tool watch (even thought it is technically a tool watch) not too dissinil To the current 62MAS reissues.

I think there’s actually three different sizes - snowflake sub 40mm, mini sub 33mm and one that’s 31mm. Could be making that up.

At first glance, the crown looks like it says ''Longines''.

ALL THE TIME ZONE! watches are a bit gimmicky imo.

The dual time is the one you want - albeit not a 2021 watch.

I guess though if you're going to be living in France speaking to people in the UK, East and West Coast then you bring yourself nicely back round to a Rolly GMT on one wrist and your fitbit on the other.

Yikes, not that one, something more classic and dressy. Their resale value is poor which means there are some bargains (imho) on the secondhand market... @regal knows these newfangled watches better than me, I just appreciate what they’re doing dial and movement wise.

2nd hand Lange Vs 2nd hand Rolex are one of the best e.g.s of market irrationality around.

You can get a second-hand Saxonia for under £10k and it’s objectively a better watch than a PP Calatrava in every way. Although Patek is Patek, so it’ll always be “worth” more. Lange is not really a good investment.

My personal favourite AL&S are the most basic Saxonia (eg the ultra thin), the basic Lange 1 and Lange 1 time zone, and the 1815 chrono.

Oh, and that insane fully lumed crystal dial Lange 1 you tried on.
