  • It's a standard Dolan Preffisio winter frame. About as standard a winter frame as you'll get. It's about 7 or 8 years old. I see no reason why I can't fit a 23mm tyre underneath without it rubbing.

    The guards are the narrow VO hammered black type. The Sigma Sport website states they can take up to 25mm tyres. Chance would be fine thing. I've tried 3 different 23mm tyres and I simply can't successfully fit them without the wheel spin being hampered.

    I bought these for £35 off the classifieds but they're in excess of £65 brand new.

    Biggest waste of money ever. Whatever I do to adjust them, it's not happening. The hole in the rear guard for the bridge wasn't even in the correct position. I had to drill a new hole so I could line the guard bridge up against the frame's brake bridge.

    Lesson learned. Never again.
