I've been weighing up one of these for a while.
Do you find it stable enough, if it's not attached to the wall in any way? I've read a few reviews and I'm sure I'm overthinking it, but I can just imagine it crashing down in the night!

Anyone use these and have any feedback?
Danhangar's and cycloc's look to be about £40 and you get the rests for the wheels too. Halfords ones are £7, no rests, but I'm sure it would be pretty easy to make something.
Seems a no brainer but any other suggestions?

Whatever is the bottom one seems to keep the bikes much closer to the wall. Good for road bikes, possibly bad for MTB. I had one of the Point pedal hangers, which I shortened to get the bike more upright, then just screwed a block of wood under the front wheel to keep the bike level.

Thanks. Taking a punt on these at £15 - I need 4 of them and £40 a pop seemed too expensive for what they are.

Already have them here in hand and that photo is misleading. The length that runs between where the pedal hooks and the part attaching to the wall is 12cm and looks longer than it does on that pic, compared to it's height.
I'll see how I get on. Two of my bikes are flat bar anyway.
Cheers

I have two of these: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07GMXYDS8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
They’ve worked perfectly since I put them up in March last year.

After 33 years the garage finally got gutted out, painted, electrics overhauled, lighting sorted and bike storage on fleek.
Topeak Turn Up Bike Holders. Drilled out and screwed into the brick. Solid and they swing so if you space them out right the bikes are nicely stacked (Can look through em like a catalogue). Must say that the MTB is a struggle to get in (29 x 2.5) but it does go.

Has anyone found a good solution for storing/hanging bikes and having them locked in place? I've got a couple hooks with with local wall anchors and chain locks but every time i change bike/number of bikes i run into issues. And it's a real ball ache locking unlocking bikes when they're closely stacked. I'm thinking of running a continuous scaffold bar horizontally and having multiple hanging hooks but it won't be anywhere near as secure as using the current anchors.
My insurance states that bikes must be locked to something when in the garage.

I've used the Pivot wall hangers, and then made up some wheel supports using lengths of timber and moulding, stained black.

Something like https://www.amazon.co.uk/Garden-Security-Locking-various-sizes/dp/B08546T2ST/ref=sr_1_4?_encoding=UTF8&c=ts&dchild=1&keywords=Reinforced+Bar+Locks&qid=1603970039&sr=8-4&ts_id=1938446031 that can slide through multiple/changing numbers of frames?
If the chain/anchor rigamarole makes accessing bikes a chore/not fun - perhaps it's worth the trade off of sacrificing some security, if you are satisfied that bikes are a) in a (nominally) secure building, b) insured anyway. That said replacing mine would be a financial but not sentimental burden so YMMV.

I've used the Pivot wall hangers
Got a link to these?
That looks really good and might make my locking up fiasco a little easier. Like you i'd be happy to make up my own supports and the bottom bikes would be on the ground anyway.

Yeah, you're absolutely right because it is taking the shine of my partner and i having several bikes.
Maybe just a one or two anchors for the hard to replace bikes would be a good compromise.

Got a link to these?
My bad, it was Point not Pivot. I either got mine from eBay or Amazon (boo hiss), can't remember which. They're these - https://www.ebay.co.uk/p/1212594229

These don't look too bad and let me avoid Amazon

The Point ones are these: https://www.amazon.co.uk/13600001-Wall-Mounted-Mounting-Materials-Stainless/dp/B001IHP8OM
I've had 2 up on the wall for years, do the trick.

If you search on eBay for "Point 13600001" there are a selection of the ones I've used. They're all much of a muchness though, and it's not as though they're complicated.

Ahh those are yours.. I've come across that picture before and was impressed by the setup.
I've got these borgen's now, I'll see how I get on.

Yep, they're mine. About 77% of my Cervelo collection. There's another three bikes suspended from the opposite wall but they're a motley selection of vintage bikes so (arguably) not so photogenic.
I'm sure the Borgens will be fine. As I said, there's really not much to them.

I had the same concern, and it was unfounded. The base flares outwards away from the wall, as well as parallel to it. I always made sure I put the heavy bikes on the bottom just in case, but they never felt in any danger of falling over.
If I had children I might have second thoughts, but if nobody's going to be using them as impromptu gym equipment then they're very stable. I'd trust one of these over one of the straight pole things that press against the floor and the ceiling.
I'll measure it for you in a bit.
