  • It’s upppppp

  • Are you still riding the Wolverine? We need another crazy trip writeup in here!

  • You're not wrong... It's still with me in Tasmania and I've been riding it a bit, but not done any big trips or overnighters for some time. It's getting warmer now though, so watch this space!

  • I'm watching. And hey, your insta is stacked with great footage, some MTB writeups or pics would totally rock as well.

  • Thanks mate! I've been very lucky to be getting a lot of MTB in while the Melbourne apocalypse has been going on. I'm long overdue to do some write-ups for sure.

  • Bump

  • Hello everyone! I’d love to say this is a bikepacking write up, but it’s a bit different and I thought you’d enjoy it regardless.

I started writing about bikes properly for this forum, and specifically this thread and it’s thanks to the great bastards that were kind about it that I’ve ended up doing some steady work in doing more of it. I’m not swearing nearly enough, and I guess it’s not quite exactly the same style as before, but it might be half fucking interesting!

  • The prodigal son returns!

  • Looks like you have been having an awful time, not envious at all

  • Oho. I'll have a read later.

  • Stoked to read this!

  • I enjoyed reading that. Have so far not made it to Tasmania and it's on my list for sure. Not sure I am good enough on the MTB to make most of it though. I hear good things about Derby also?

  • Enjoy y'all! And as an added bonus there's me presenting in the embedded video. Terrifying stuff..

  • @pascalo - Ah you absolutely should get down here, it's off its fucking tits. There are heaps of green trails at Derby and Maydena now, so there's really no need to be an experienced rider.

  • Do you still have/use the actual wolverine btw?

Here's mine from last Monday on top of Mt Franklin in the ACT, 1646m

  • @pascalo looking good! I do have the OG bike, or more specifically my partner does. She uses it as a commuter.

On that note, I’m coming back to England for the full summer and already bringing a mountain bike, so if anyone has a lead on a good wolverine style bike in a large ish size, please hit me up! Likewise for a car (looking at old V70’s currently) x

  • You are looking to buy a Volvo just for the summer? This writing business seems to be going well then

  • @Hulsroy I’ve got my eye on a 2000 model with 111,000 miles on it if that gives you any indication as to my success ;)

  • Not only successful but also a man of great taste and sense of aesthetics. Swoon
