  • He was playing the old "my fast finishing team mate is in the group just behind" card. It does make me laugh like a drain when Valverde gets a taste of his own medicine. He's had lots of doses over the past two years.

  • I thought he was playing the legitimate "I'm not helping to drag you in to the top 10 when my teammate is in second place" card.

  • He was in the top ten already, he was tenth on GC this morning. He's now up to the heady heights of ninth.

  • He still made up a minute though and, since he seems to have a bit of form, makes it more complicated for the others.

  • and movistar has 3 riders in top 10

  • valverde forever, if the history is anything to go buy, 39 is optimal age to win the Vuelta

  • Valverde will lose anything he gained today and more on the Angliru on Sunday. Movistar will shoot themselves in the foot, as they always do. Soler will knife Mas in the front if he has to.

  • Actually, I bet Valverde loses a minute to the other GC riders tomorrow.

  • and thats just another day for Movistar

  • Does Imlach choose the outro music?

  • This is worth a watch, the Sunweb film on the Stelvio, Sestriere and Milan stages;

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QHTgOFJxecg&feature=youtu.be&ab_channel=TeamSunweb

  • I didn’t bookmark it but a Brit journalist interviewed an anonymous rider at the Vuelta who had

    A) never heard of Angliru
    B) not been told he was riding up it this week

  • It was Daniel Friebe.

  • The journalist, not the rider.

  • On Stelvio
    Wilco “Uhhhh”
We will need to get rid of Almeida
    Wilco “Uhhhh”
We can’t bring him to the finish
    Wilco “Dinner time”

  • yeah, that was awkward

    great film, thanks for sharing.

  • Do you want to know if you are down?
    😂 hardly confidence inspiring.

  • Are the drugs finally wearing off?

  • Watched the Ronde 100 behind the scenes earlier when the Tinkoff car was lying to Sagan about how far ahead he was so seeing the car lying to Wilco about how far behind he was felt about right. One minute seems to be the number you have to be below in both scenarios.

Also, the Ronde behind the scenes films are absolutely immense sports documentaries. How many cameras do they have????

  • Tense relationship, Keldermann already finished, or is he just an awkward person?

It's a strange scene but I can't really figure out what's going on.

  • Keldermann really didn't want to take part in that film did he? Almost like he knew what was coming.

  • Nothing in that film makes anyone in Sunweb look good. The TDF version would though.

    “Rohan can’t last much longer”

  • I disagree - I think Matt Winston and Jai both come across well. I think they were both really honest about the likelihood that Tao would beat them, which I think is good management from Winston and a sign of maturity from Hindley.

It's definitely noticeable how flat the atmosphere is even when Hindley wins the Stelvio stage though - I mean it's not as bad as the forced Quintana champagne scene in the Movistar series but "Oh did Jai win" followed by silent fist bumps is a bit sad considering it was his first ever GT stage.

  • If it was on the Matt Winston or Jai Hindley Youtube channel I’d agree with you. But it wasn’t.
