If you want a mirror finish you need to Water Gild, if you wanted the matt finish you would Oil Gild.

For water gilding you need loose leaf, for oil gilding you would use transfer.

Do you do signwriting or gilding courses. It's something I'd be keen to have a crack some time.

Afraid i don't, The best person for courses is David A Smith in torquay (that's what i did...) but they are expensive, best investment i have ever made right enough.
