  • If you have sufficient LTV to cover it then it is generally straight forward enough. The mortgage company only really cares that there is an asset to cover the mortgage and you can afford to pay it back.

    I did it for a loft conversion and there was no issue. I don't even know if they were aware I was taking extra.

    I've done this and it was really straight forward, assuming no difficulties with employment etc.
