Do you think there's a chance the previous owner put loctite on the threads? If so, try dropping some acetone on the threads and letting it soak in, also you could try some boiling water over the threads.
There's always the rotafix method, works best if your tyre doesn't touch the seat tube when the hub is all the way forward in the track ends. https://www.8ballbikes.co.uk/rotafix/
I’m trying to remove a rear cog from a wheel (I think I now know why the wheel was free...🤔). I’ve tried a meaty chain whip and mallet and clamping the cog in a vice and turning the wheel, it’s now soaking in Plus Gas but is there any other way? Ta..
