Those are centre-pull calipers and quite nice ones. Weinmann 500s are probably not a massive step-up in terms of quality or power, but if you want to go for side-pulls, they will have a similar look. Let me know.
Incidentally, what's the bike? Those brakes indicate it might be quite nice. Are you sure you want to convert it?

Hi. Thanks for your reply. I think actually I may be misnaming them as cantilever brakes. I think correctly they are centre-pull brakes (see image), and I am after side-pull brakes.
I would be happy to buy the Weinmann brakes, providing the reach is OK. I will check this evening and let you know - thanks for the information.
