• Coldharbour Lane, Redlands, Dorking.
  • Anyone fancy some steep, loamy Surrey goodness?
Come join me for some of the best offroad trails in the Surrey area.

Expect steep, natural enduro style loamy trails and steep punchy climbs to back to the trail heads.

The felling I mentioned in a previous thread has now stopped and there is still a lot of riding available near the reservoir and the middle of the woods, with some trails that were covered by felled trees already being cleared.

You can ride these trails on any kind of MTB, full sussers will give maximum help obvs, but I ride a hardtail all the time there. If you want to ride a rigid use the maximum volume, largest lugged tyres you can fit. It'll help.

If you're travelling over by train I can meet you somewhere. If you're coming by car Coldharbour Lane has various little laybays along that road for parking.

Facilities at Redlands are basically non-existent so bring food.

This video will give you a reasonable idea of what to expect:

    Good to hear :-)

  • Yeah, fortunately not everything was destroyed. Around two-thirds is gone but trails are already reappearing that were wrecked.

  • 1:05 - that's what fucked me up!

  • Sunday will be a good time to put that right then. :-)

  • Anyone fancy this? Best riding in the area is Redlands.
