That feels unusual, a 70s Peugeot with cantis? Anyway, the holes for mounting caliper brakes won't be drilled to take a recessed allen sleeve bolt, so you'll need a nutted set. I've got some Weinmann type 500s that I'd be happy to sell: something like this, but you'd want to check the reach you need first.

I have a 70s Peugeot that I am in the process of converting to a single speed, whilst trying to keep the cost as low as pos. So if anyone has the following that they would be keen to sell, or alternatively any recommendations for good value new stuff, please let me know.
-Single speed rear wheel: after a vintage-looking wheel, for want of a better word.
-Brakes: currently have cantilever and want to replace with calliper brakes.
-Brake levers: after silver 'BMX' style brake levers.
