  • Nice original Roadrat, well used but well maintained. Current setup is BB7 cable brakes, SRAM 1x9 geared setup (choice of cassettes, wheels etc) Hope headset, recent GXP BB (I think), Schwalbe tyres, on-one wheels and Mary bars with twist grip gears. Still have all the extra bits to swap between geared and SS, works great as SS for a fast, comfy commuter.
Designed for both 26'' and 700c wheels, comes with Disc mounts and bolt on V brake Mounts, if needed.

Its a 132.5mm rear end so can take both road and MTB hubs, Single speed or geared. Very Versatile frameset.
Size is a 54 equivalent, paint is in good nick with no rust.
Collect from W London, may be able to deliver if W or SW
    Love

  • You do know the fork is on the wrong way round don't you?

  • they were designed like that.

  • Cy was advised by Brant Richards to put the fork disc mount there, IIRC, something to do with rotational force.

  • Front brake works fine, FYI. Unusual, but effective.

  • DM'd

  • I have one of these (complete with wonky front brake) and love it - shame they stopped making them - GLWS

  • Still selling this?

  • Yup, though it does need a clean, apparently!

Let me know if you want more photos

  • Sure, why not! Just finding out if this size is right for the person that needs a bike. Not sure exactly what his height is.

  • Will suit 5’6 or 5’11, depending on preferred riding position. Will pm photos

  • Hello, this looks like a lovely bike! Maintained beautifully! Can my brother and I come and try it out? This would be for my bro who is 5ft 11 if you think it would work for him?

  • Hi, this is still available, despite multiple enquiries...

  • Yes, of course, what's your bro's inside leg?

  • Still waiting for someone to come and ride off on this, despite lots of interest.

  • More pics

  • Do you have a dead-on direct side-on shot?

Could be interested, but the rake on the forks looks strangely steep (maybe barrel distortion on the lens?)

  • The fork is standard rake, the disc placing can make it look odd, but it isn’t.

Will get a side on pic sorted tomorrow

  • Can’t believe that I still have this bike! It’s a lovely ride, so I won’t complain if no one buys it, but I could still really do with some cash.....

  • I wonder why more manufacturers didn't adopt the 'disc caliper on drive-side leg' in order to mitigate the effects of disc-induced QR-secured hub slippage/wheel ejection.

  • I think it’s simply fashion, everyone is so used to it being on the other side, no manufacturer wants to deviate - apart from innovators like Brant and Cy

  • It’s taken a while, but here you go.
