Sorry, with gears
Still probably none, it's not enough of a change to need the chain shortened in most cases.

I was updating W10 laptop I don't use often and was updating Avast. Avast says that Acronis True Image for Crucial is a "slow app" with ~50% "slowdown severity".
My question is whether I need the Acronis True Image for Crucial. I assume I installed it when I was upgrading to an SSD. Googling doesn't leave me any the wiser to whether it's useful for the ongoing running of the SSD or if it was just a cloning tool.
Cheers.

What's with the red logo?
-
• #105156
Pink logo. Not salmon pink either, any more.
-
• #105157
It was pale pink earlier. Is there a thread for why the logo changed colours?

Having recently bought a load of furniture I have loads and loads of cardboard.
I also have a garden with a chiminea thing which is the only place where people can visit at the moment.
Is burning the cardboard in the chiminea whilst out in the garden a terrible idea? Will I just end up with a load of foul smoke and ash that I need to dispose of or will it solve all of my cardboard disposal problems?

Don't you have cardboard recycling in your area?
-
• #105167
I suspected that would be the case. I wonder if the recycling bins take ash ...
Buying a few beds and wardrobes and the like has left me with enough cardboard that it will take about a month to get rid of it in the recycling bin and they don't collect stuff that you just leave out.

Some time ago there was a link to a classic velodrome race with loads of headbutting. Might have been a world champs?
Does anyone have the link? Trying to show someone track headbutting.

Trying to connect my Dell Latitude to a Dell p2310h monitor using a mini display port on the laptop to the normal display port on the monitor.
When I plug the cable in, the monitor removes the "no displayport cable" sign for a second, as if the monitor was about to connect, then the sign reappears. When I connect this same cable to my partner's Macbook, the macbook shows display options for the Dell monitor but also no image appears. Any ideas?

I've been past Borough Market a few times recently and seen a load of tables out 'under cover' in the market itself in the evenings - can anyone tell me which restaurant these are from and if they are bookable? Tried searching but really hard to find anything... Cheers

Is there an allotment local to you? I use big sheets of wet cardboard as weed suppressant. Someone may take them all off your hands.

Hmm, there is an allotment a couple of minutes away. Never seems to be anyone there though so not quite sure how to let them know about this surfeit of card. The last activity on their facebook page seems to be 2010.

I made sure I caught my recycling guys and explained the situation - that we'd just moved so had a surfeit of cardboard. They were more than happy to take excess (despite the same - not taking things otherwise left outside of usual receptacles)

You'll have a local tip/recycling centre somewhere nearby, most councils offer a few pick ups of different rubbish per year too, but you'll need to book it with them.

Either way, please don’t burn it in a built up area.
But probably just leave it as is.
