Sorry for the delay - really appreciate all of the messages above, this forum is refreshing by having people who are genuine and just happy to help out..
Essentially what I'm looking to do is swap out frames. I have a fairly basic fixie frame which is a bit too big for me and I want to swap it out for a smaller and nicer looking one (will probably get one off AliExpress for now until I can find a real long-term gem), but I hadn't expected the Bottom Bracket to be such a minefield of information. Its the different terminology and standards which has made this hard.
For the frame I want to buy it just says "BSA68, English thread"
