It had enough details to suggest someone either thought big or put a lot of their heart into it. Details that never reappeared on anything else so it likely missed the mark a little, but I enjoyed it. Plus I get irrational joy from products that are an evolutionary dead end for one reason or another (c.f. iPod shuffle 3, far too far in a certain direction)

I was lucky to inherit the Mk1 design, so cant take credit, but was able to work on updates over the years. Exactly as you say, so much refined attention to detail, when the other jerseys on the market were relatively basic polyester.
And that’s a good point; there were some great products, that owners swore by, but just sank. Softshell Gilet, Fixed Jersey, original Winter Gloves. I dropped out of bidding on a Medium Hooded Tracktop when it got to well over £100 last year!
This is great prompt, products I thought were slightly mundane but actually have an interesting path. I don’t think I have any photos but definitely saw the skunk stripe sunburn from the open mesh stripe. Jersey sag?! ...and the hidden pill pocket? Good story label too.
I’ll do a full write up on a product (tbd) in a few weeks, get feedback, and figure things out from there.
