Yes I had a moment too, still giddy from seeing Tao win, where I took him seriously. Looking back think he may have been flush with joy and a few drinks but he at the least seemed like he wanted to believe it. He’s got a team seriously deep in talent if he wanted to.
And, agreed on Saturday - I had watched most of it before we went out but had to wait to finish it. I knew he’d done enough at least from text notifications but the last 5km still had my heart going.

Great stuff today though. It was yesterday that really had me on the edge of my seat. When he got home level on time I kind of knew he'd get it done and Jai had blown it. Was more releived when it all played out ok!
Amazing performance by the team though. I don't have much time for Brailsford, but the way he described getting back to 'racing' rather than dominating, and that might be the Ineos way now has me looking forward to next year already.
