Fair enough! I hope he enjoys it.
I've got Solaris by Tarkovsky on DVD but have yet to get round to watching it. I'm reading the book it's based on at the moment so I might give it a go once I'm finished with that.

The book is great too, I think the movie is more philosophical, the book grittier.

He also wants to read the book, hah, videogames as a gateway drug to literature / artsy cinema.

He wants to read Solaris? Or Roadside Picnic which Stalker is based on? Both are great!
