Instead of splashing out on some headphones I ended up getting a £25 Bluetooth transmitter so I can listen to vinyl on my (very good) earbuds. I’ve got it connected to the “tape out” red/white phono on the back of a 90s amp, which sends it raw, and from a ProJect II turntable sounds unbelievable – if it’s a good pressing. Doesn’t half expose bad pressings that I hadn’t noticed before though.

Grado sr80e? Or 125's if you can find a few more quid. I've never found open backs annoying for others at home.
