Loving the wheels but they're more suitable to a build with ergopowers as they're from around 1995.

Bar set up is a little off, as a rule of thumb I make the lower tip of the brake lever line up with the lower straight part of the handelbar (easy on a table or with a ruler). The end of the handlebar should either be alligned horizontally or point slightly towards the rear brake bridge. For ergonomics the latter option is better.

As for bar setup, correct, it's work in progress and all will be aligned. This was a sneak peak.

As for the wheels, according to their own history (https://www.gipiemmewheels.com/chi-siamo2) they were from 1992?

But it's OK. I'm making this build the why I like it more than being very strict with period correct.

I really got a reply from Somec! Lara answered and told me that the engraved parts are end 1980s but the logo on the downtube is middle 90s so she thinks that the frame has been repainted.

That's quite the service. This type of thing makes me want to be a part of that brand and buy their stuff.

Found a lovely Somec Giro in mint condition. Will take some decent pictures soon. Bit on the small side (55cc) so maybe thinking of selling or trading.

I'm looking for advice/help relating to a Somec Air TS complete bike with Campagnolo Chorus groupset, according to catalogue. I have a similar frameset and I would like to build it like in the picture with 1st gen. Campagnolo Chorus groupset. Do you eventually know, which Chorus parts were pantographed and how exactly? I see clearly that seatpost, big chainring and stem are pantographed on the bike can be found in the catalogue. What about the rest of the groupset, e.g. brake levers, monoplaner brakes, derailleurs, shifter levers? Could you may provide some pictures about those parts mentioned above if they were pantographed originally to see the exact scheme? Thank you in advance, I wish a pleasant Christmas.

You should ask Somec themselves.
They quick and helpful in their replies.

Usually, though, it was the customer who would choose which (if any) parts to pantograph.

Catalogue was just a reference.
