Looked him up.
He hosts the Emmy-nominated program On Contact for the RT (formerly Russia Today) television network.
Russia Today. I probably agree with most of what he says - but still treat with caution.

Oh, the "bulkshit" will stick once the supposed leaks appear. Have we forgotten how gullible the average person can be? I think this election is far from over yet, Trump is behind in almost all polls but that can change quickly.
What's worse is that even if you filter out the part about Biden's family being deepstate satanic pedophiles, it is pretty easy to believe that his son is involved in some shady deals. If corruption is proven, or implied with enough evidence, Biden will lose a lot of votes.

• #10904
If they had any evidence of actual misdeeds I'd assume they would have handed it over to the various Republican led investigations that ultimately found no wrongdoing.

There was a picture of him tucked up in bed with a crack pipe hanging out of his mouth. That’s not how I smoked crack definitely a set-up
-
• #10906
I think you've missed my point. A photo of known addict Hunter Biden smoking crack is not evidence of wrongdoing by Joe Biden.
None of the laptop revelations so far have provided any evidence of wrongdoing by the actual presidential candidate.
And so far, the verified stuff about Hunter Biden was already common knowledge. Not that it should matter.
-
• #10907
I didn’t miss it I was pointing out the ‘best’ evidence of wrongdoing they’ve got is a dodgy character assassination picture that looks staged.
-
• #10908
Yeah, the whole thing just doesn't hang together.
Hey, don't get me wrong. Maybe Hunter Biden really did have a bunch of inappropriate photos of children on his laptop. Its just that Giuliani can't keep his story straight and every time he opens his mouth about it the story has changed so at very best you can't form an opinion on whether its true or not.
I suspect that if there is anything genuinely bad on this laptop, the FBI would have acted already.
-
• #10909
If indeed its true that the FBI had it a year ago. Because that part of the story has changed several times too.
-
• #10910
Are people getting a bit too hung up on Hunter Biden's laptop? Just because the right wing press and trolls keep going on about it, doesn't make it an important story.
It does feel similar to Hilary's email server in 2016. For months they kept on going on and on about her fucking emails, elevating it to such a massive deal, then all it took was Comey to say the FBI were re-opening their investigation 10 days before the election and she dropped 8 points.
Expect something similar to drop next week, but hopefully this time people will have a bit of perspective.

I applaud your optimism.

100% this. The left keeps falling for diversions, trying to reason with people who don’t care about the issue at all, they just want to be outraged. That’s why every scandal is like water off a Rapha-clad duck‘s back, because trumps base only care about their individual pocket and ego. The republicans know this, which is why they keep a steady stream of rubbish flowing about the economy and how their side is winning.
Y’all didn’t ask but IMO the only way to get through to the people who would still vote trump and aren’t rich enough to benefit from his econ policies is to focus on the immediate, real and demonstrable effects of a trump presidency on their person. Push it right in their faces, don’t let them focus away from it, and scare them like hell. Very little efforts should be expended on answering things like Biden’s son’s issues, even real issues are used as a distracting dangling carrot.
Only pure egotistical self interest will get them to not vote for trump.

it's important insofar as it's indicative of the desperate levels tump's re election campaign are prepared to plumb / suggests operation "say utter falsifiable horseshit so long as the fuckwits that vote for us hoover it up wholesale because critical thought is dead" is still in full swing?

• #10914
Isn't Trump saying he'll ask the Attorney General to investigate?
What will be interesting is whether / how much he bangs on about it in the debate.
Also telling that he's been quiet on it for what would seem like an awfully long time given the apparent time line. Almost like he knew it was such a weak made-up crock that even he didn't want to touch it.

Perennial fuckhead Jacob Wohl was in the news again with another ineptly orchestrated scam. It happened a few weeks ago but no one noticed because of all the other shit that was happening at the same time.
He's allegedly been harassing voters with robocalls this time.
The call falsely claimed that mail-in voters will have their personal information shared with law enforcement "to track down old warrants" and that they could be added to a list for "mandatory vaccines."
The voice on the robocall said it was sponsored by a group founded by Burkman and Wohl, who have spent years perpetrating hoaxes and false smears against Democratic politicians and opponents of President Donald Trump.
In a brief interview with CNN in August, Wohl denied that he or Burkman was responsible for the misleading and racist calls

I still think Trump will win, I’ve put money on at 15/8 not as good as last time.
Can’t see Biden breaking through in the key places, sure he might have an overall majority or increase that on last time but think he’ll fall short. -
• #10919
I put money on Bernie to win last time. I was so certain he was going to win 😞

I am betting some doddery old white man will win and the rest of the world will lose

• #10921
My general lack of understanding on how US elections work makes me not want to guess.
Trump lost the popular vote by some way last time round. Wasn't it the biggest popular vote defeat leading to a victory on record?
This time round I think he will do worse in terms of popular vote but that doesn't mean he will lose.
-

Same, similar odds also. I got him last time a couple of days before the FBI announced they'd investigate Clinton at decent odds (like 11, or something crazy from memory) .
There'll be something similar this time maybe, and I think that people are over estimating how important all this focus on his competance is going to be; he's known to be totally incompetent and wildly unfit, but is still in the race, so that hasn't worked properly.
Haven't they (GOP) been preparing the actual infrastructure around voting and around calling close deicisions for some time? I think that might be important.
-
• #10923
They’d pretty good. I had a few quid on them on the day he drifted to about 4/1 or something and I took home about £180. It just seemed so obvious at the time.

• #10924
Call me over-principled, but betting on an outcome you don't want is a conflict of interest (unless it's a hedge I guess).
Full disclosure: have paid to stay in a Trump hotel.
-
• #10925
Betting on an outcome you don't want is hedging. Or insurance. Are you too principled for insurance?
It's only a conflict of interest if you're also responsible for determining the outcome.
This is one hell of an assessment US politics (and politics in general). His talk is just the first hour, but his answering of questions for the 2nd hour is also excellent.
