• Cheers man. Funny you ask, we were just discussing that today. Currently 25s. Rear could do a 30 most likely but the Enve fork won’t do more than 28. Going to buy my bro a pair of 4Seasons 28c and shall see how they go. Have them on the V1 Zipps and they’re amazing. Also new 30c G-Ones for the Moots coming... T

  • Talbot looks super fun

Bit late to the party but

    • whats the chainring on the talbot
    • And whats going on with that dropout/rear hub?

    Thanks

  • Schwalbe G-One Speed TLE 30c. Revelation.

  • Evening and apologies for the late reply.
Chainring is off a SRAM Omnom.
Hubs are Chub single speed disc. Not to everyone’s liking but laced to DCR rims/CXRays they’re amazing. I’ll leave the rest to the forum to discuss ;) T

  • Nice to know, thanks!

  • In Scotland for a much needed break. Rain is unrelenting so just having to suck it up.. Forgotten how atrocious and messed up the roads are and so thankful I bought some bigger/better tyres! Rides beaut, no complaints.. T

  • Looking good, Mudguard fitting needs a bit of work though ;)

  • Cheers, yours is proper nice too!
Haha I know, one for when I get a dry spell here.. Cheers! T

    Welcome :)

  • Haha cheers ;)
Was born and bred in Ayr but never really road cycled here when younger, only jump/Bmx etc. The state of the roads over the past few years is genuinely shocking though, literally no idea where our road taxes go! Anyways, G-One 30c and the bike in general make it easier to cope with. Giving a Moots seatpost some thought now... T

  • Not much news on the bike front.
PW have completely regressed during Covid so a new front hub is nowhere near in site. The V1 is hence running its trusty Chub/DCR wheel setup.
Extralite cranks on the Moots, mainly because of the low q-factor as this seems to suit my wonky lower extremities.
HS has been slammed as far as it goes with an upper Cane Creek SlamSet and lower Extralite cup. Makes for the lowest stack possible but this suits me.
No new bikes on the horizon and the lockup is slowly being cleared and closed up.. wishing everyone the best for Xmas and the NY. T

  • Sorta like this. The flat is a dump as half the lockup is here rather than there!

  • And also ordered a set of these coz they look tonnes better than the originals. Groupset is most likely to be swapped out for DA 9100 as the months go on as I’m so taken by Shimano’s mechanical shifting I can’t see me changing for anything different.

  • Cheers still 1cm less than the Gangsta so feels a little high..!
@mattyc aye absolutely. That black is proper dark, looks amazing. I think I’d be going a bit Velocio with pink. First I need to have the whole bike shipshape though and that includes wheels, another big money crash at some point :) t

  • An Xmas drunk purchase winging its way over from Japan. Love a bit of Affinity :)

  • Haha, nice! What's the sizing on that? Looks like a fairly large HT for a lopro.

  • It’s their Large. Funny thing is the internal routing and rear brake but may be a special for Japan seeing they need both. Will be fun until the back goes though ;) T

  • Gotcha. Any ideas on the build for it?

  • Probably a parts bin build tbh, got tonnes of parts sitting about so may aswell use them. High chance it'll be a nice mantlepiece fixture for a while though.. I have big plans for the Gangsta and a new creation based on it but that's not going to be any time soon. T

  • You tease ;) Excited to see all of this!

  • Excellent news all round..
Affinity arrived. Reasearch shows it's very limited Japanaese Blue Lug edition paintscheme and also integrated rear brake routing. Looks pretty mad so hopefully test ride this weekend.. Whether or not I keep it is a different matter. .
Also Phil Wood have finally built my front black Pro Track hub so it's winging it's way over from the USA and shall be laced to a brand new Zipp 303 rim to match the rear on the Gangsta.. T

  • Affinity is sick, excited to see these wheels on the gangsta

  • Parts-bin build. Super fast and nippy, feels like a go-kart. Now to see if the back survives.. T
