Yes. I think the last rider to do it was Gianni Bugno in the 1990 Giro. Merckx did it too I think.

Can't wait to see the epic Froome attack to pull back 3.5 hours on the 19th Stage.

Froome now at 30 minutes after two stages. He didn’t feature on any of the coverage I saw.

Considerably watered down stage for Saturday in the Giro as the French authorities won't allow the race to enter France.

They'll do the climb up to Sestriere three times, via two different ascents.

It's not clear what this means for the Tourmalet stage of the Vuelta, planned for Sunday, but I can't see how that can go ahead given this precendence.
