@miller cheers. Ended up cheaping out and it is mounted inside out. Was only looking at how it bolts on not how the mech bolts in. Annoying!

on the black one, the top and bottom dont match. The bottom should be flipped over so the length of the shears/tears match up.

so the new silver one is correct, as thats how you black one was too.
