  • Has this been resolved yet?

  • Thanks @Harry your emoji made it all worthwhile

  • Seriously underrated post IMO

  • What’s the verdict on this one?

  • Make your own mind up....

  • Let the record show that the bike pictured above appears to match the ‘missing’ bike exactly as featured in the controversial eBay ad.

Edit- pic posted 14 weeks ago?

  • Both dodgy imo - Estuardo and Mercado

  • What account is that from?

  • Estuardos insta

  • Ah right.

The post doesn't clear anything up but his messages to BigH only serve to implicate him and by association, @Kobe.

  • It only shows that 14 weeks ago Estuardo tagged him in a post with a frame that he allegedly didn't sell to him, because he allegedly never received it, got his money back and has for some inexplicable reason decided to purchase it off Estuardo who he doesn't apparently know.

  • Sometimes being direct is the best way...

  • Anyway, i don't think there is much doubt here.

I also don't imagine Kobe will be back in a hurry, as he doesn't actually appear to sell much of his overpriced stuff on here, but i certainly wouldn't deal with him in a sale and think he needs banning.

  • i think it's fair to point out that senor lafuente has always maintained that he believed that he did buy the frame off "pista mercato". that's never been in doubt.

i have no clue about insta, but does the screenshot show that pista mercato (the "real" account run by kobe) liked the post?

No, Estuardo has tagged Pista Mercato in the post.

  • I think this Lafuente guy is completely innocent and you guys are reading too much into this.
From what I've read, this is what I believe happened:

    • Kobe did not receive the frame from @de5iRe during the estimated time frame
    • He opened a legitimate claim to get a refund from Paypal
    • He got his money back
    • Frame ends up showing up anyway after the refund has been processed
    • He doesn't bother to inform @de5iRe about this because as far as he's concerned, that's a case closed
    • Sells it to Lafuente for a 100% profit

I admit I've done the exact same thing, but for a 50€ hard drive I ordered from Amazon that showed up at my door 2 months later. Sometimes deliveries are late. Kobe just decided it would be a good idea to do that for a 950€ frame. Dickhead move. I would contact Paypal and let them know about it because it might not be the first time he's done it.

EDIT: Also, what's all this about lynchman? Any links? I'd like to know the story

  • No one can say he didn’t get a chance to set the record straight. Why would he clam up the way he did? It’s allegedly to keep his name out of it, why? He’s ‘gramming under his own name so it’s not like he’s running from his past or flipping bikes in shame. Sure, a legit merchant may not want the hassle or potential fallout of being involved in moving stolen goods, but why not just say what happened?

His manner makes me think he’s up to something that he doesn’t want the authorities to sniff out, whether it’s dodging taxes, dodging immigration rules, or just selling dodgy stuff.

Edit- benefit of a doubt, people do react irrationally when afraid; also, I know from experience that living in certain parts of Latin America builds up your defences in a way that can come across as overly-defensive in Europe.

  • You could be right but I’d be a lot more willing to believe he was innocent if he didn’t refuse to share details of how he bought it.

  • @BigH Happy to help craft a message in Spanish. Estuardo’s writing style in English ‘sounds’ like he’s actually a native Spanish speaker (as opposed to a fake Kobe account, who writes like he might be Netherlandish).

  • what's all this about lynchman? Any links? I'd like to know the story

    Same.

  • a native Spanish speaker

I could tell and could've asked him in Spanish too but tbh he could phrase what he does/doesn't want to say well enough so thought theres no point. Appreciate the offer though.

    Guilty until proven innocent imo
