Ah that’s shit, I can lend you a bike to use whilst you hunt down the thief

Thanks. I'm not getting out at the minute anyway but that's a kind offer.

Crap. It could still be local (very local) if it was an opportunist who overlooks your garden. It feels similar to Mrak's Karate Monkey theft. Hope you get a lead on it somehow.

Fuck! Sorry buddy!

Thinking it was likely a delivery driver. The garden is too exposed for opportunists but not exposed enough to know that it had been left open unless you went into the garden, if you know what I mean. Or it was some brazen prick. Either way, I feel both stupid and fucking furious.

Do you mean someone who delivered something to your house or to another house? That sounds unlikely to me, as surely that would be easy to trace, e.g. by asking your neighbours?
Definitely an opportunist, but I wouldn't discount the possibility that it's someone who knows the lie of the land very well. Also, a lot of thefts happen because someone observes that a bike is left in the same place all the time.

Not at the time of delivery, but someone who has reason to walk around the back of the buildings, note the unlocked shed and come back.
I've not been out on it in weeks and you can't see it unless you open the shed.

Thanks. There have been very kind offers from friends and friends of friends to do the same. Also someone "on here" who works in local bike shops will be spreading the word.
Posts on multiple local FB groups too.
A customer of mine who lives local also tipped me off about a potential spot where stolen bikes are locked for handover (a friend of theirs' nicked bike was spotted there) so I'll be swinging by there periodically. Nothing last night.

Also, I was told in a comment on one of the FB group posts about bikeshd.co.uk which aggregates London Ebay bike listings, so am going to keep refreshing that.

I'm local-ish, I tend to keep an eye out for bikes that pop up here.

Ta
Reported to the Met, but no CCTV here so no hope of anything coming from that. Taken from my shed about an hour ago. Annoyingly (fucking stupidly) I was out there a day or so ago doing some packing and obviously forgot to lock up.
Came home from collecting my daughter about 6pm, didn't notice anything. Went out about 8pm and noticed the shed door ajar. The only thing gone is the bike.
Fairly distinctive.

Garmin Edge 130 and Garmin Varia UT 800 mounted out front.

Blue Green Evoc Saddle Bag
See.Sense Ace Rear Light
