Maybe a weird one. I recently passed my driving test, but don't have a car or really any reason to drive. But I'd like to keep driving rather than let my recent efforts lapse. I thought one option could be to try to find some sort of volunteer work that requires driving about. I've been doing some meal delivery (on foot/bike) and they need drivers, but don't provide cars. I suspect this is probably the case in most/all volunteer situations, but just in case: Anyone know of any groups looking for drivers and provide the vehicle?
I’m no help with your question, but I think it’s a good idea to keep the driving up. I passed my test, went to the US, drove there for 2 month, then came home and didn’t drive for 10 years. It felt pretty sketchy that I was legally able to jump in a car and drive off after so long.
Yeah, totally. I had a license when I was a kid in Canada but hadn't driven since then. I think that helped me get my license a bit quicker, but I certainly wasn't a capable driver when I got back into a car for the first time. This is really why I want to keep at it!
