  • I have nothing but respect for Rashford but wish he’d not accepted an MBE from a system.

  • this ^

or just as she was pinning on the gong he could have asked her what she does to help poor and underprivileged children and make her squirm a bit

  • He's a hero - it would've been brilliant if he turned it down but as I can understand potentially why not. He's already one of the most abused players on social media. That venn diagram of Empire-fetishists and Racists is a circle.

  • I think I he’d have got more attention for the cause if he’d thrown in back in their faces.

  • Isn't it customary that you don't tell if you've been offered and turned it down? I assume there's legal weapons to back that up as well.

At least he's probably got more attention for his causes by accepting it.

  • Never comfortable with the cycle of celebrity culture and charity that just seems to fuel itself. Rashford is a decent lad for his sentiment and humanity but that's not what mbe's are about.

  • so back to proper football

this weeks funny, after having pledged his undying love for real madrid over the summer , paul pogba has now pledged his undying love for barca, and man utd's response, to activate the extra years option on his contract, that'll teach him

now we've got the weight off our shoulders of going the whole season unbeaten, we can play everton without too much pressure, they're favourites, top of the league and playing at home, just hope they don't trounce us too badly

    hiya pisti

  • Channeling your inner Clive there, nice one.

  • oooof so close

ah well, point each just about fair, everton played well but pickford could have been off after 10mins with that scissors rugby tackle that injured vvd, hope virgil is ok

  • Ejoyabale game for the neutral. Pickford was lucky to stay on. Rodriguez and Tiago both v classy players

  • awful challenge from an awful player. enjoyed the game and Thiago's contribution

  • Hasenhutl wont last much longer with defending like this.

  • He was kept on after the 9-0 last season and got them to a decent finish. I think he’ll be fine.

  • Chelsea wrestling the ‘stupidly flimsy defence’ title out of our hands.

  • The kepa and Zouma mix up sums up chelsea defence. Zouma poor pass back & kepa bottled the challenge 🙄

    Positives. Pulasic start, played well.
werner getting a couple loved the turn for the 1st one and good to se Ziyech get a run.

Edit. I also thought Kante had a good game.
Edit 2. Kai Havertz gliding round with new romantic cheak bones

  • Another weekend of boring 0-0 draws I see

  • Some pretty psychedelic defending from us at the Bridge yesterday... I thought Timo looked sharp as fuck, reminded me of Diego's attack mindedness, totally zeroed in on goal...

Jorginho played very well, good performance generally apart from silly mistakes at the back... We still don't like being pressed, need to get a handle on that, it's something we've struggled with for a few seasons now... Still more to come from this group, feels good...

  • Yup. I’d more or less given up on the game this season, but still found myself checking the Leyton Orient score yesterday and getting pissed off when we conceded in stoppage time. But I can’t even go to my local non-league side Dulwich as they’re still considered a risk to crowds, it’s ridiculous. A lot of LOFC mates have taken to going to see Walthamstow instead to get their fix.

But today it’s the women’s FA Cup and Dulwich are playing Leyton Orient and amazingly you can actually attend this one, so for £4 I can see a live game. Yay.

  • Hackney Marshes today (attempt 3 to play our first league game - the first was called off at half time when an opposition player who'd been sent off came back with a weapon, the second due to a refereeing shortage).

2-1 down at half time, we battled back in the second half and got a (pretty lucky) penalty which snuck under the keeper to make it 2-2.

We get a corner in the last minute, I lumber up from the back, the ball is played in low and the defender and my teammate in front of me both miss it.

I catch it on the half volley on the six yard line, look at the goal gaping in front of me...and then see it bounce back off the underside of the bar and get scrambled away.

And then I lost my phone.

  • Classic Mourinho.

  • Lads...

  • Spurs gonna spurs.

  • Younger readers might not know this, but Mourinho used to be famed for his sides' defensive setup and ability to shut down games.

  • Any stattos know if a Mourinho side has ever let a 3 goal lead slip?
