That all important 22mm

Is all the oil going to try to escape at some point in the procedure?
-
• #3354
Shimano brake calliper adapters just arrived in the post, they are visibly better quality and come with all the hardware - glad I got them rather than the lifeline stuff.

• #3355
what else have I missed?
Seatpost clamp
Unless you've got one ready

Not if you lay the lowers down flat, I believe

Not if you lay the lowers down flat, I believe
This
You might want to watch the video again

I do recall the chap saying that- I just didn’t know whether I should believe him.
-
• #3359
I don't think he has any reason to lie to you
-
• #3360
Ha! Those are the exact same set of crow feet I bought from amazon for that 22mm.
Indeed watch the video again, the chap isn't lying... Keep them flat

I'll have a crack at it tomorrow, but late now I think - for an old man like me who needs his sleep, anyway.
I'm looking forward to building the bike, just need the frame to arrive.

What's the fork strapped to? Are you teaching it to swim?

lol
Remember you need to equalise the positive and negative air chambers :-)
Don't put any weight on the fork when you do this
-
• #3370
I read the manual (the shame!) and it said to equalise the negative air chamber, which I found only happened when you also pulled up on the fork crown at the same time as pressing the equalise negative pressure rod.

I read the manual
You're dead to me.

Wait until you see how I’m going to fit the crown race
-
• #3373
I feel like this is either going to be
I got a Hope slotted one so it pushes on and it's got a seal to protect my bearing
Using a letter punch, "P" for Pace
-
• #3374
I made my race slotted, went on much easier. I also fitted my headset with a mallet.
-
• #3375
If you cant fit a headset with a mallet, you shouldn't be trusted with a bicycle.
