What time is it? Watches and horology

Here’s a picture of a SPB143 that’s currently on eBay. The bezel looks all over the place! Also, the date - did it start changing already or is it way off too...

The date starts changing pretty early on the 4R & 6R, certainly before 11pm, not particularly unusual in that price bracket. The bezel looks ok on that example to me, the parallax error of it being higher than the dial makes these things nearly impossible to photograph with all the bezel markers aligned to the dial markers.

The ‘date not being aligned’ glitch is easily fixed, too.

I’m gonna get one and see for myself I guess.

No, they are static, you would just use the minute hand to register dive time against the various scales.

Ha, sure, PM me and we can sort something if you are interested. They've been put up for silly money (£1600-1700!!) on eBay and C24 but I just want to get what I paid for it, so £950 + £205 import duty.

I sort of want to buy their copy of a CWC G10, for some reason G10's have doubled in price in the last 18 month
