Hope your customers are all sensible.
I don’t know which is worst, customer being annoyed by availability of parts or having to wait outside.

Has Boris gone back into hiding again? It’s absolute carnage, this is the most hopeless and rudderless it’s been and that’s saying something. The meeting between Manchester MPs and Helen whately sounded insane. Can he survive much longer?

Just has an email form my gym claiming 'no outbreak has been recorded as stemming from a gym/leisure centres since they reopened - 32M visits'.
Whilst I accept that as true, is it relevant information? Have we ('we') been particularly good at tracing any outbreak sources insomuch as that not having any cases from gyms is significant? My gut says no, but not immersed enough in data to know.

Luxury .since march 1 trip to Liverpool and back to collect my ipad . 40 hours work every week no furlough but others have had 6 months of it. No bonus for being a key worker . No holidays anywhere . No trips to any pubs or similar. No club runs no family visits . For all of that in return I get eff all from work get my hours reduced to 30 told to wear a mask . I don’t see others with the same commitment. Plus now in tier 3 thanks to the Liverpool obsession with drink.

There is a gym in the Wirral that is refusing to close and getting crowd funded to pay the fines in defiance. A lot of other gyms are jumping on to raise awareness and protest the restrictions, so expect that is what has triggered the comms.

how can they possibly suggest no infections can be traced to in the absence of anything remotely approaching a working T+T system?
firebomb it as a warning to others.
mindless cunts.

I would challenge that.

There is a working T&T through health protection teams in PHE. The private fuck up? Less so.

^ why do you hate the free market, tankie?

Norn Ire has a T&T that is government ran, but it's still not clear why in L/Derry there has been such a jump in cases.
Non symptomatic superspreaders they think, but that's not really getting it to the level of "That venue and probably that person"

One of the guys I work with goes that gym and they have raised 24k in crowd funding . Still needs burning down though and the council have a special building preservation officer employed to do just that. It’s not in Birkenhead though so may incur a mileage bonus claim.

TBH it's the playing 5-a-side football that feels most out of place. I was very surprised when that became possible in July/August as I thought it would be way down the list
The mad thing is, you can still do this in Tier 3. Perhaps there is zero evidence it is transmitted while playing sport, but still feels very odd.

Yeah, from the pish I’ve heard from the UK govt briefings we seem to be at least getting the messaging right up here; whether it’s being followed or not is a separate issue and we are not lacking the same 5G anti-vaccine twats alas. Sturgeon deserves praise for standing up and delivering the bad news day after day and with a sense of empathy. As for your holiday, as long as you were following the guidelines I don’t see any issue. We’ve a lot of space..

Avoiding the limelight today due to the October 15 deal or no deal brexit deadline maybe

Andy Burnham has played a blinder, united cross party support and even got Graham Brady on board saying he supports him in opposing the move to Tier 3 which makes it incredibly hard for Boris to push back on for being Labour playing politics and force Tier 3 without having to get Rishi to fire up the money printers

Has Boris gone back into hiding again? ... Can he survive much longer?
Maybe until the new year. When infections are high, hospitals full, supermarket shelves empty with trucks queuing in Kent and it feels like rock bottom someone will want a turn as PM feeling the only way is up.
Right now you would have to be nuts to want to be in charge?

Don’t forget the rumour of him packing it in in January .

get Rishi to fire up the money printers
Shake the magic money tree, surely? You know, the one that didn't exist. Until it did.

Tbf £300bn has fallen out of it this year so far but thats for mates and donors, not worth shaking for the north
-
• #16798
Indeed. Friends, family and horse riding buddies (here's looking at you, Dido Queen of Carnage Harding) get £300m. The North gets kind words and epic patronising.

It’s amazing what’s going on! Matt hancock has dismissed it as party politics which is insane considering there are prominent tories pushing back.
Really not sure how this is going to end but I have a sneaking suspicion Andy et al, as long as they hold onto the tories might actually come out on top.
TBH it's the playing 5-a-side football that feels most out of place. I was very surprised when that became possible in July/August as I thought it would be way down the list.
