Also recently bought a cheap erbauer plunge saw and a longg track so we can cut nice straight lines in like 2.4m long cuts of wood etc
Pain level is moderate/significant, the benefit is that we know exactly what's happening and what we want done etc,learn new skills, save money
Don't have to worry about pinning down tradesman,
Negatives - known unknowns, I'm not a trained tradesman so we will miss stuff/do things wrong but not realise

Yes. I bought a Festool TS55 a few years ago. It's been doing the rounds between family as me, my brother and my sister have all moved recently. It's superb kit
