new page fail.
Does anyone have any recommendations for 29 x 2.1 - 2.4 tubeless tyres that can run acceptably on road but won't come a cropper on the water logged tracks formerly known as gravel?
I've previously ridden Smart Sams and been happy with them in similar conditions, but I can't find them in the right permutation.

Vittoria Mezcal, has a pretty constant central knob that should be better on road.

Teravail seem to be the new kids on the block, a few options in that size range. Have nothing bad to say about the TL Rutlands. Sparwood might be what you are after.

+1 for mezcal, get in race if you care about the weight and tan walls

Yeah, I’ve come across a bit of this “gravel” in the past.

Ran a 2.3 Mezcal on the back of my MTB for the Bearbones 200 at the weekend. Good on road, gravel, hardpack. Pretty non-grippy in any sort of mud.

Nope, the place I most recently ordered from didn't have the size I needed.

Rocket ron in front, racing sam in back. The tread on gravel tires is useless when riding in mud.

yea for sure i agree.
it seems i've read a decent number of "tubeless for road is stupid" type stuff recently and just wanted to make the point that for some equipment pairings it is easy, reliable, and does what it says.

speaking of schwalbe. has anyone tried a tire with their new casing? there are now super-ground versions of most of the g-ones. maybe this will fix the self steer issue? new sizes too. some 700x45mm and 2" options.

If I’m a peasant and have room for 32mm tyres what do we reckon? Some gravel, light off road, some road. I’ve never had much luck with cx tyres, they always seem to puncture
