  • Still involves extra valves, switches and plumbing I'll never use. I guess the lower demand for such a machine would reduce the economies of scale such that it might not be cheaper than the more complex machine, for a given build quality.

  • If its any comfort, I never used the steam wand on my Classic for probably the first 8-9 years I owned it. I used it for the first time about 2 years ago when I put a Rancilio wand on it. It won't hurt it, just undo it and take it off! Think of it as lightweighting. Colin Chapman.

    Don't really have friends round, even pre-pandemic, tend to meet to do stuff somewhere, or at t'pub.

    Also, GF is vegan and doesn't do milk coffee either.
