Well interesting, here's a couple more events by the people that do the black history walks that is kinda related, I seem to remember them doing something on Anime recently but cannot find it now.

As someone whose loved anime since the days of Akira, this is really interesting, in terms of how you can love one thing, even though all the characterisations of people of colour are racist, how you have to gloss over or compartmentalise how people like you are perceived so that you can continue to enjoy something that 90% of the time brings you joy.
Same producer/presenter did this film, interesting take on why kung fu exerts such a powerful hold within black culture..
