amazon is usually a bit naff for boardgames, it's one of the rare things they often overcharge for even vs brick and mortar shops. also there's a lot of non-english games listed with english covers. i'd always read the reviews and check the details product specs to see if a language is mentioned at all when buying on there.
can probably dig up a few recommendations for you with a bit more info though.
number of players?
what kind of strategy are you after? area control, engine building, deck building etc
any preferred themes?
rough budget?
