My sister back in NI tested positive last week. Only symptoms have been anosmia and a cold type fatigue, feeling better already. Her daughter and partner both tested negative (partner's test was initially incolcusive but tested again and showed negative) and have no symptoms so hoping they are true negatives. Same for my folks. They are not what you would call medically robust and my sister took my dad to a hospital appt a few days before her symptoms and positive test. My mum managed to get a test somehow which was also negative, but they wouldn't send one for my dad (who suffers from MS). But we can only go off what the tests say, if my mum is negative, my dad must be too, hopefully. It's been a nervous week, and will be for a couple more, just in case.

So many confusing accounts of it on twitter but yeh, seems like Government are imposing what they feel like on them and the Mayor is left to try and negotiate the best financial package possible

It is reminicent of thatchers era that I grew up through . She did everything to close camel lairds despite the falklands ssga . Now it seems a concerted effort with no representation now frank field was moved.

Hope it all is ok in the end, scary stuff if people already have some health issues.
Cases are shooting up in NI, and not sure why, I can't imagine people here are so much more reckless than other areas.

JVT is such a good speaker, clear, concise, direct. It is a shame he hasn't been allowed to talk more and instead was sin binned for 6 months for not back Cummings.

Sounds like I shouldn't have declined the ONS testing (although it was at a point when positive tests would really have fucked me over).
Once in a while I nip over to Mumsnet so I know perfectly well that ONS stands for 'one night stand'. Filthy .

A perfect opportunity for a r4 journo to seek them out and see if they would do the same again.

Schools to close for a month and only takeaway permitted and other limitations. Argh.... !
Doing nothing is not an option ATM, cases are really rising in NI.

Similar restrictions here in NL. Bars, restaurants, cafes all closed for at least four weeks (except for takeaways). Alcohol sales stopped from 8pm-7am. All shops to close at 8pm except supermarkets and gas stations. Maximum group size of four people, even outdoors.
But they're still not sure about mandating the use of masks. This sums up the attitude here in that respect.
Block of flats?
Next door neighbour.
