  • Too small for me, but as an aside, columbia outdry ex is arguably the best waterproof stuff out there.

Shakedry is probably better, but you can wear a bag with the above and not worry about it ripping.

  • That good? Been reading reviews on it and it’s only the shiny look to it I’m not a fan of.

  • Yes, and i agree. Colleague did point out it looks a bit fetishy and the Other half is not a fan, but that said, water just bounces off

Yeah it's really good, almost went for it over the Patagonia. Couldn't find it for decent price back then.

The system is so good, i know someone who has one and it can withstand anything and doesn't get saturated after x amoutn of hours inn the rain. The shiny is necessary cos it's a solid barrier keeping the wet out, unlike the other big brands, it's not based on the PFC chemicals for waterproofing/ whicking, which always wear off and need re-doing. So in the long run it's better.

Also better environmentally cos PFCs are ... scary and horrible.

  • Much better info than my summary! All the reasons why I went for OutDry stuff in the first place. Well reviewed over at the BearBones bikepacking forum too.

  • I'm interested, if you're in London I don't mind collecting. No problem if you aren't however

  • Thanks for the interest, this has now sold.
