Yates' performance so far, which hasn't been bad, but definitely below par makes sense now. I hope he makes a full recovery as soon as possible.

I've got into grief defending Bouhanni on here before.
What Demare does there is either a bold move into a gap that's just about big enough, or a dick move that nearly takes out Bouhanni, but either way it's a racing move and not a taking-someone-out-of-the-race move.

I'm in Team Bouhanni too.

That’s really shit for him.
Contact tracing is going to be a bit tricky, it’s basically the entire team and peleton?Must have caught it from someone else at the Giro, especially if the rest of the team has tested negative?
-

Didn't they have some rule about 2 rider positives and the team is expelled? Is that only Tdf?
-
• #27809
That (at the TdF at least) was two team positives I think - not just riders but anyone involved.
But they dropped it after week 2.
Yates and his teammates share a bus, breakfast and dinner tables, etc - surely they won't finish the Giro.

• #27810
Were there any rider positives at the TdF? Or just staff?
-
• #27811
Commentary on Giro ignoring fact he could have been infectious for days before experiencing symptoms and testing positive. This could be ugly.
-
• #27812
Do we know how often they are tested? He's been off form for days, so you'd think they'd be testing for everything to try and work out why.

Enjoying the variation in descending skill in the Women's xc world champs. Super technical off camber section leaving some skittering down like deer on ice, while a few them are just sending it and making up about 30 seconds a lap. Shame it's not much of a race at the front. Ferrand Prevot almost 2 mins up.

Just support staff.

Sad news but this may be the best measure yet of the reproduction rate for a rider in a GT environment.
Kinda interesting.

Vaughters was saying far fewer colds etc had gone around the TdF thanks to the extra measures so perhaps it’ll all be okay.
The profile today looks a bit lumpy to get organised to pull a break back over 10 minutes, no?

I thought matt whites comments pretty much summed it up: "You have to have your head in the clouds if you think we'll cruise though this next three-and-a-half-month period scot-free."

Is Gent cancelled too?

• #27819
Still happening last time I looked, has a great line up too

Was reading an old article, phew!

I suspect the Belgians would require a pandemic akin to the black death before they cancelled these races

This Italian scenery is, again, spectacular.

G'wan Dowsett

Wanted the Wiganer to win but I’ll settle for Dowsett.

Nice ride that
Given the focus in the gif was Sagan elbowing Cavendish into the barriers, I don't think anyone noticed Demare's attempts to take out Bouhanni's front wheel. Bouhanni did, obviously, and was very vocal about it afterwards, but as most people have a negative opinion of Bouhanni, no-one cared, or thought he probably deserved it.
