  • @Jingle_Jangle Look out for Lambkillers!

  • Thought that I would ask here as my Google-fu isn't strong enough. Does anyone know of any adapters that will let you run normal straps for the Suunto Spartan series?

    Thanks!

  • Is that green or black?

  • Defo green .
They do a black , which I’ve seen and a blue that I haven’t but it looks good

I think this reissue looks the business.

Also it’s a really good article, bit of a Jason Heaton ramble but some nuggets in there. Eg what I’ve been trying to find out for a while, where did the 62MAS case shape come from, whether it was Seiko or if they were imitating an earlier Swiss design and yeah, it’s the latter. Aquastar debuted it on the 60 in 1958.

  • It smells a bit of a money making venture resurrecting the brand and doing an exact repro of an iconic watch but I’ve got to admit it looks great and the price is fair. Would love to see one in the flesh.

  • It’s exactly what it is but kudos to them for doing it so well. I can’t even see any Arial on it...

  • I really like the new SS Waterman
I have a magrette and think they are well made and value.
Im not sold on the bronze but 42mm is a good size but I guess on the larger size these days

  • Got married so off on honeymoon, in and out the sea and pool so got this for £20.

Sometimes simple and worry free can be just nice.

  • Congratulations. 😎

  • They're the same as the Ocean One?

    Too big?

They obviously do a 39mm in regular

Yeah, the Ti premium - I like the dial design with the fat baton hands and simple circle markers... Just wish it was 40 not 42 but mainly would like it under 12mm in height. I have a set of unicorn dimensions in my head... Very hard to find a 2-300m diver at 40mm, and around 11mm thick... Made with titanium. I have a glycine combat which proves an auto diver can be 10-11mm thick.

  • I can’t even see any Arial on it...

It's not a microbrand with a relaunch without arial! Don't they know it??? Don't they get it?!

  • Congratulations and that's lovely!

  • I was going to suggest a older sea-dweller.... But it's both £8k and not Ti.

  • Did someone mention black and gold recently? This is an option.

  • I'm a bit of a steinhart fanboy so I happen to have the Ti. 41/42mm is my idea and yes, steinhart loves that size.
The Ti is great because its not a true copy homage like the steel version. It only pays homage without being a copy. It still is its own style.

  • Think it was @SamSparro

  • How's the quality of it? In photos it looks really good. How is it on the wrist?

I'm very possibly being overly fussy. One of my favourite watches that I wear all the time is my Seiko samurai, and it's a bit of a tank. I just notice the weight a little too much hence wanting titanium.

  • Steinharts are well made (I think). Great watches. I don't find any of them to be overly heavy. It has a presence. Enough to be like a linus blanket. But definitely not like a divers weight. Only issue is that they are very much Rolex copies in most cases (that really doesn't bother me) . The Ti does make make it lighter though. When I get home ill take some photos. What can I use as a reference? Casio g shock?
