hopefully the bike now has two fully operational Magura brakes.
Did you ever find out why the shop in Morgins couldn't get them working properly? Just ineptitude and an inability to bleed brakes, or was there some trick they were missing?

The front now works really well, and it’s the exact same brake. I have to think that Pace, and the shop in Morgins, just couldn’t bleed them properly- but Rat Race can.

Going to Swinley tomorrow, will be at Martins Heron at 10:20 if anyone wants to join. The ride will be nothing like the Redlands above. Slow, boring, and uneventful.

Have fun at Swinley.
I would dispute that Redlands will be running fast, considering conditions. :-)

Fin of Full Factory Suspension said that he services every Rock Shox item he sells before he sends it out as their QA is, sadly, rather too variable.
This isn't limited to RS BTW my Z1 had a ton of grease on top of the piston in the air spring and no oil or float fluid (which is blue) as per the maintenance instructions.
Also the servicing isn't limited, pretty much any reputable tuning shop will do the same.

That’s rather sad to hear. Fin said that (IIRC) the lower legs wouldn’t have the correct lubrication, which is exactly what he found.
He did say that Fox stuff is usually good from the box, but there you go.
I’m hoping my (Internet bullying) Cane Creek is going to be ok out of the box, but I guess I can always send it off as well.
I must have put around 50 hours on the lyrik in the Alps, so it was around their service interval anyway I guess.

No semi-slick tyres on display at the Leogang juniors XC race

When I serviced my Revelation for the first time I had to put 10psi more in to reach the same sag and they were a lot more supple. Did use lighter oil though.

Told you, they might as well have just raced at Epping

79.9kg this morning, so I guess I have to accept that.
-
• #18463
That's 25kg less than me, if that helps
-
• #18464
Which is 40 more than me, probably doesn't help
-
• #18465
It might help me not eat that packet of biscuits for lunch

You're 39.9kg? What are you, a puppet?
-
• #18467
No, 40 less than the 25 extra over 80.
I'm 65kg -

It is not the best picture, true - very dark outside and I think the iPhone was struggling.

It won't look like that after Sunday.

I did some shock upgrading as well. But with extra titanium.

Anyone ever had tyres weep when changing sealants?
Went from Orange > Stans a couple of month ago and now my tyres appear very sad??
