I found out a local shop has a pair of Rene Herse 700x44 slicks, Snowqualmie Pass. Ive heard good and bad about them. Currently running 38mm GK slicks. Worth the punt? Its the extra light ones.
Depends what kind of riding you're doing.
They'll be lighter and more supple than the GKs. Do you have room for them on the frame, but increase in size over 38.
They’ll fit for sure even with guards. But thats as far as I can go with guards.
I like the GKs they feel fast. But I might just get them to have something to look forward to.
Rising wise its mostly audax with some gravel and the rare off road excursion.
