I've got this Omega quartz which I guess is 30-40 years old or so (in fact if anyone has a better idea I'd be interested). It stopped working recently but a service (about £200) brought it back to life and it's fine again now.

I got mine from Barton. Not sure how they compare to others but I like it. Quite firm strap but with soft leather backing.

BTW, the quick release pin is a fucking joy to use. If I get bored, 2 mins later I have the new watch feel with the band change.
