• Thanks for everyones recommendations for a new watch. I've spent an unhealthy amount of time looking at all sorts of options. I'm still on the fence about anything at 38mm or more, as i have narrow wrists. Would a second hand Seamaster quartz be a stupid idea? Size is good, lower servicing costs etc. But would a 2nd hand quartz movement have much life left in it?

  • I think these movements are serviceable anyway, so no worries there.
    If you like it - go for it!

  • I've got this Omega quartz which I guess is 30-40 years old or so (in fact if anyone has a better idea I'd be interested). It stopped working recently but a service (about £200) brought it back to life and it's fine again now.
