Did this even though he seemed less than optimistic. Shouldn't it at least be easier to freeze funds in a case such as this...
Thanks all, I'm glad that I wasn't blue eyed enough to buy it.

How, in Notepad++, can I remove all lines that contain "xyz"?
-
• #104905
In the Replace menu, choose regular expression, search for the below and leave replace empty.
^.*xyz.*$\r?\n?

Why / how is my macbook overlaying german translations onto video and how do I turn it off?
It did it when watching Amazon Prime in the native browser player, if there was a phone screen or something in a TV show with text, a translation pops up in German. Now it's doing it while watching videos with VLC.
wtf

anyone got a recommendation for a decent quality office/computer chair? Sub £100 kinda thing

I've got some of those "sign up to ecotricity and you get £50 John Lewis voucher and I get a £50 JL voucher too" postcards.
If anyone is thinking of swapping provider let me know. -

In VLC on Windows (though that looks like a Mac font in the title) then there's a Subtitles menu item which lets you pick which to show, or to show none at all.
It'll generally be that you've downloaded something that contains the video (.mp4) and some subtitles (.srt I think) in the same folder.

Ikea gets good writeups for the price I think. Just checked and it's £150, but that's still fairly cheap if you're sitting in it for hours at a time
https://www.ikea.com/gb/en/p/markus-office-chair-vissle-dark-grey-30261152/On that note... (one for the golf thread perhaps)
has anyone used a Herman Miller Embody? Lockdown and 7 months of WFH has not been kind to my back -
• #104912
A bit over budget, but I've been sat on my Ikea Markus for many years, so it's cheap on a per annum basis.

Nope but I’ve used Aerons and would recommend. A shorter colleague did have to get a foot rest for hers because the seat was too high and long horizontally, naking her legs fall asleep.

First thing I checked. It’s not just VLC though, it’s doing it on in-browser players too. Must be the MacBook, but how?

Might be the closed captions in Accessibility?
Apple menu > System Preferences > Accessibility > Captions

It is The Way.

Aeron user here. It was much improved by the addition of a 3rd party head rest.

Does anyone know if installing the above pashley wicker basket support to a pashley with a threaded headset will require me to have the funny spanner that you need to service threaded headsets?
-
• #104920
A headset spanner? Looks like it goes around the steerer tube, so yes.
Edit-because you’d need to take the quill stem and headset nuts off. -
• #104921
I wouldn't; that support will eventually wear through the paint on the head tube, and isn't particularly strong. There was a recent thread on the CTC forums about this very issue: https://forum.cyclinguk.org/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=134285&sid=f58092a9a0121447075173956f82a9b7

What tooth count? CS-HG200-7 comes in 12-28, as low as £13 if you shop around. KMC Z7 chain is £8 or less, but if you find a bargain on an 8-speed chain that will work fine too.

Thanks for the info! 12-28 would work. Current cassette is a little heavy work off road.
I had looked at this: https://www.sjscycles.co.uk/cassettes/1128-sunrace-nickel-7-speed-cassette/
And this:
https://www.sjscycles.co.uk/chains/kmc-z7-332-inch-7-speed-chain-grey-brown-114-links/Would they work? Is sunrace rubbish?

Would they work? Is sunrace rubbish?
