Nah, if you've won grand tours or you are a world or Olympic champ, you can do what you want.

e.g. Spartacus, Shark of Messina, El Pistolero

Though if Froome put Froomedog on his bike, that would clearly not be acceptable.

Not sure Froomedog is the one that he prefers.
He had Froomey on his bike, but its not forum approved.
